"I think a girl would be lucky to have a guy like you. Your so genuin and just plain nice. You wouldnt just a girlfriend as a thing. You'd really make them feel special. And Bert, theres honestly not a thih wrong with you." he smiled at the older boy with a longing admiration.
'Id be lucky to.find someone like you.' he thought insode his head. If only Bert could really acctually be like him. It would make Garrett a completely differen person.

"Oh stop! You're making me blush here! But seriously, thanks mate, that was really sweet of you! But I don't know, girls just aren't interested in me, I don't really care about them though." He had long gone past trying to get a girl now
Love was something that he was always going to be unlucky in, but it didn't bother him the right person would come along one day.

Garrett nodded, and sighed.
"Bert, I know excately how you feel..." he looked away. He didnt excactly when he realised he had found out about him. He just sort of knew. At first he'd resented himself. And even more so when his father threatened to disown him. It was really downhill from then. He closed himself in. Shut people out. Evej Drippy for a time. That had been too hard. She hadseen trogh everything and helped him come to terms with the matter.

Bert tried to pick up the tension between the both of them, "Come on, not long until we ge there now!"
The feeling was slowly becoming like home, and he didn;t want them. Especially with Garret, he was a good guy. Someone that Bert knew that he was going to want to talk to more and more often.

He nodded. It was jut around these trees he thought. Being around Bert made it easier to think. Easier to breath. Like tey were the same.
"Whats it like back home Bert?" he wanted to know things about his captian. He liked to know little things that other people didnt. It made him feel trusted. Trusted and wanted.

Bert was glad as they slowly approached the Shack, it meant time to properly get to know each other/
A sad face slowly came onto his face, "Home? My home is Hogwart. That place in Scotland, that's just a place that I have to go to in the Summer, it's not my home." It never was going to be, it once was, but never again.

"Oh, really that bad?" Garrett felt pity course through him. A guy like Bwert didnt deserve it. No one ever did.
" Its it your father? Or just everyone?" the Shack looked bigger than it had before. Maybe it was just because he hadnt seen it in a long time and everyone said it was small.

Bert sighed, "My father, he has the tendency to hit me, I ended up in hospital once because of him. He doesn't approve of me being a wizard, even though both of my sister's are witches. And I'm not the boy he wanted."
Not the proper boy, but Bert doubted that he was ever going to achieve that. Not that he caredmuch about his father's opinion anymore.[/bloxkquote]

He winced. That must of been horrible. He placed a sympathetic hand on Bert shoulder, smiling weakly.
"I guess you could say Im similar. Mother is far to precious about me for him to hit me, but he ettempted to disown me. Mother threated to leave him, so h held his tougn." Garrett explained. He knew he couldnt live without Drippy and Mystic. "Dad goes away a lot though. Im sure youd be welcomed to mine any time. And Drippy would love to meet you!"

Bert smiled, "Thank Garret, I appreciate it a lot." He felt bad if he did take him up on that offer though, come his seventh year he was getting a place in Hogsmeade and that was that.

He smiled.
"Bert, your the first real friend I have here. Mum would be delighted if I brought someone home!" he smiled brightly. His mum had taken who he was in her stride.
It didnt matter to her. Not a single part of her minded. She loved her son whoevr and whatever he was. It made him feel warm and he smiled.

Johanna sneered as some gross, ugly Gryffindor bashed into her.
"Get your filthy hands off me." she hissed, pushing her way through the bustling crowd in Honkeydukes.
She'd never been ditched before - and it was incredibly insulting. Sure, she had wandered into Honkeydukes hoping to get a few boxes of Chocolate Frogs for her sister. And then bloody Greg Tanton had started to talk to her about Quidditch.
Letting out an annoyed scream as her heels repeatedly jammed in the cobbled street, Johanna considered wrenching them off her feet and shoving them into the large white handbag she was lugging around with her - but that would look stupiud. Pulling back her hair, she saw Garett and Bert up ahead heading towards the Shreiking Shack.
"Bloody Hufflepuffs." she muttered under her breath, glaring at the sky as the wind blew her hair into her face.
She began to jog towards them, her bag bouncing off her hips and her heels clicking loudly off the cobbles.
"Hey Garett, wait up!" cried out Johanna.

Garrett turned to the sound the woman and his name. Bluddy Slyherin Johanna... Just what he needed when he thouht he was actually getting somewhere with Bert.
"Hey Johanna! Were going the Shrieking Shack! You want to come? Well, Im guesskng you would, seeing as I didnt think youd want to ruin those heal." he called, a frown appearing on his face.
He had paused walking, waiting for her to catch up.

Seeing the disappointed look on Garett's face, Johanna guessed the two of them had been having a 'moment'. Oh well, there's no such thing as love, mused Johanna.
"Aww, thanks Garett. You're such a sweetheart." said Johanna, with a small wink.
OK, maybe flirting with a gay guy looked slightly strange; but it was all part of the fun. Garett believed that the flirting was to make Bert jealous. But it would simply make things incredibly...awkward for the young couple.
To be honest, Johanna wasn't sure how she wanted to mess with them. Ruin their relationship or make things awkward between them?
"How is everyone? I barely know anything about you guys; tell me more." smiled Johanna, as she finally caught up with the pair.

Bert grinned as Johanna caught up with them, "I was wondering where you got to? Sorry about that!" He felt bad about just leaving Johanna behind.
"Not mu to know about me to be honest, I'm Scottish by ya probably got that for my accent!" he laughed. Anyone who didn't probably needed a hearing aid.
He didn't trust Johanna fully, not yet, whereas Garret was on his team and in his house. It was different.
But with the three of them together, things would be more interesting, more fun! Having groups ofpeople was better than just having two.
